Rumii

This is a promo for our film Rumii that is still in the works. Our final semester fiction film, Rumii revolves around the relationship of Saleem and his cow Rumii who is supposedly magical because of the amount of milk she gives. This special bond begins to get threatened once word of Rumii’s magic begins to spread throughout the village. Saleem belongs to a different community as compared to the majority of the village which sets off a series of events. 

The film is a comedy of errors and a political satire that hints at the state of affairs in the country- everything pure has to be diluted, Saleem and Rumii’s relationship too. 

This was shot on Sony PMW-F5 CineAlta Digital Cinema Camera & Canon EOS 5D Mark IV and edited on Final Cut Pro.
